Our Services
At Sinfin Community Childcare, we offer a variety of flexible session times to meet the needs of our families. For those attending on a 51-week contract, we offer:
Morning sessions: 8:00am – 1:00pm
Afternoon sessions: 1:00pm – 6:00pm
Short day sessions: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Full-day sessions: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Optional extras, including early starts from 7:30am and additional hourly sessions between 8:00am and 9:00am, are available exclusively on 51-week contracts.
For families preferring term-time only (38-week) contracts, we offer:
3-hour morning sessions: 9:00am – 12:00pm
3-hour afternoon sessions: 12:00pm – 3:00pm
5-hour half-day sessions: 8:00am – 1:00pm or 1:00pm – 6:00pm
6-hour short day sessions: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Full-day sessions: 8:00am: – 6:00pm
Each session is designed to provide consistency, comfort, and opportunities for children to learn and grow through play.
Our Story
At Sinfin Community Childcare, we’ve proudly supported local families with trusted day care in Sinfin for over 20 years. Based at our well-established nursery on Sheridan Street, we offer a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children aged 0–5 can learn, grow and thrive. Our experienced team creates fun, hands-on learning opportunities through purposeful play, helping every child reach their full potential—emotionally, socially, and academically.
We’re proud to be a valued part of the Sinfin and Derby childcare community. Communication is at the heart of everything we do, and we work closely with families to ensure each child feels safe, settled, and happy from their very first day. Question 1: What age groups do you cater for?
We provide care and early education for children aged 0 to 5 years, with dedicated spaces tailored to babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Question 2: Do you offer funded childcare places?
Yes, we offer 15 and 30-hour funded places for eligible 2, 3, and 4-year-olds. Please contact us for help checking your eligibility.
Question 3: What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, from 7.30am to 6:00pm, offering flexible sessions to suit the needs of working families.
Question 4: How do you support new children settling in?
We offer a gradual settling-in process tailored to each child and family. This helps build trust, ease transitions, and create a positive start.
